Whetstone Creek Conservation Area near Montgomery City MO - Nice gravel lot in Missouri Conservation area for overnighting. 3 fire pits and picnic tables for tent setups, room for at least 6 vehicles/parties. NO hookups, water, or dump stations. One outhouse. Rough gravel country roads to reach the campground but 4WD not essential. Signage posted saying camping is allowed, and a phone call let me know it’s first-come first served with no reservations, and isn’t likely to be full. Mostly hunters/fishermen. Close to highway but slow travel the last few miles on gravel.
