Mammoth Lakes CA - South Tufa above Mono Lake highway 120. Follow dirt road into the woods to a large circular pull-out. Ample shade, fairly flat about 1/3 mile off 120, south. Will accommodate 3-4 vehicles. Must be self-sustained, no water, gas or electric. Definitely no fires. Super quiet, private and isolated from people or traffic!! <br /> <br />January 19, 2021 road closed cannot access. Sign says road not plowed. We camped at closure with view of mono lake. <br /> <br />Editor's note: location appears to indicate a general area where dispersed camping is available.
