Custer Gallatin National Forest near West Yellowstone MT - Close to West Yellowstone, just North of Lake Hebgen. Signs indicate “Public Land” and there are about 8 designated camp sites. Made it no problem with 24 foot Sprinter Camper Van. Dirt road goes back 2-3 miles off the pavement. Perfectly passable during the dry season, wouldn’t try without 4x4 in winter or spring or when road is muddy. <br /> <br />Nice green canyon with mountains on both sides and Red Canyon Creek running through the canyon. Several sites are on the creek.
