Several spots located along rough gravel access road directly opposite Means Road turnoff. Recommended by park rangers at Guadalupe for overflow camping. A number of small spots along the roadside are accessible by 2WD, but the road gets very rough as it climbs and becomes only accessible for high clearance vehicles before reaching the better spots, which are located further off the road. Camped at one of the higher spots for several days and saw minimal traffic during the day and completely quiet each night. No trees or other shelter from the sun or wind, which can be strong at times. Spots should be identifiable on the satellite view.
