Magnolia Beach

Well known boondocking on the beach. There’s usually several other RVs here but you can almost always find a spot. There are bathrooms and showers here as well. Very clean. There’s very little tide here. The road is sand and crushed shells so it’s very hard. I see some class A and larger 5th wheels here too. Near Port Lavaca TX.

August 2021: Great spot to fish, swim or just relax.
Word of caution: there are alligators close by. Last night we watched one rather close to shore. Was at least 8 feet long. I chose to no longer go swimming. Most people never even know there are any around.
It’s hot so RV generators run constantly. My RV is old so didn’t use the on board one much and had a couple of rough nights trying to sleep. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

Nov 2022: We stayed one night as our trip was cut short. The beach was very clean. It was cool so we slept with just windows open. Other than an occasional car driving by was very quiet and peaceful. As we were in our Rv we did not use the restroom or showers. We will be returning for a longer stay. The fishing was best at the small jetty

4/9/23 I’m here at this gracious spot. No toilets. But lots of local Spanish music to fill the night. Great spot to stay for the night!! Free and the sounds of the water and birds give a good nights sleep.
